Portable X-ray units of “MCT” series are developed for the reliability provision when operating in heaviest-load conditions. The use of MCT units makes the X-ray inspection in field conditions much easier in the ordinary sense of this word.

MCT-160

Light-weight fine-focus unit designed, first of all, for cheap X-ray television systems and for the high-accuracy radiography of plastics, composites, ceramics, rubber, light-alloy castings and similar objects when the use of stationary cable unit is impossible or economically not substantiated. It could be used also for the radiographic inspection of pipelines welds in field conditions. The optimum thickness of the wall of pipe 700mm in diameter should not exceed 15mm. When using the FOSFOMATIC system or high-speed films type KODAK HS800 or intensifying screens it is possible to inspect pipelines with pipe walls of bigger thickness.

This model is designed for the radiography of pipelines welds in field conditions. The optimum thickness of the wall of pipe 1420mm in diameter should not exceed 20mm. When using the FOSFOMATIC system or high-speed films type KODAK HS800 or intensifying screens it is possible to inspect pipelines with pipe walls of bigger thickness.
